Hero Arts Summer 2020 Catalog Blog Hop (+GIVEAWAYS!)

29 Jun

Good afternoon!  The fun Summer 2020 Release is now available at Hero Arts and we’re hopping along to celebrate!!  Today I’m sharing a card using the gorgeous Vineyard Heroscape set!

Vineyard Heroscape by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts

I decided to go with a more autumnal feel for my vineyard…I live in a big winery region of Virginia and over the years I’ve played harp for lots of winery weddings in the fall and they’re just breathtaking.  In my opinion, way better than summer weddings! 😉

Anyway, I started by stamping the layers of the Vineyard set with Soft Vanilla, Just Rust, and Ombre Serengeti ink.  I used the darker shades of the ombre ink for the bottom of my detailed layer and the lighter shades at the top for even more contrast.  Then I stamped the grapes with Grape Juice and Grape Slush reactive ink.  I die-cut the vineyard with the coordinating die and then die-cut it twice more from Hero Hues cardstock in Pumpkin and Plum.

Next I masked a circle on a panel of strathmore bristol cardstock and then blended a background using Soft Vanilla, Apricot, Just Rust, and Grape Juice Ink.  I removed the mask and added a little Soft Vanilla ink and then stamped the sentiment with Grape Juice Ink.  I layered the colored cardstocks onto the panel and then adhered the vineyard top layer with foam mounting tape.  It definitely feels like an autumn sunset to me…when it’s still a little summery-warm but you can tell a change in weather is coming!  And at least for me, I’m totally ready for that feeling…I’m not keen on the awful humidity we’ve had around here recently!

And that’s it for me!  Head over and check out the summer release and then make sure to hop along for lots of inspiration!!

To celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away a $50 gift card as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win!  Please comment before 11:59PM EST on Sunday, July 5th!  You should have arrived from Jennifer and Libby is your next stop!

Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the hop!!
