Happy World Card Making Day!! (+GIVEAWAY!)

1 Oct

This is my second post for today.  For the Hello World Blog Hop please scroll down or click here!  Also, don’t forget to check out my Instagram giveaway that closes tonight!  You can find it by visiting my IG account here!  And the winner of my Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is Chark!  Please send me a message via the Contact page above and I’ll get that out to you ASAP!  Congrats! 🙂

Good morning and Happy World Card Making Day!  I plan to spend most of my Saturday either prepping for Rosh Hashanah tomorrow or crafting and I hope you get a chance to craft this weekend!  I’ve got several fun projects coming up next week that I can’t wait to share!  But I did want to share a card to celebrate World Card Making Day!  While I enjoy making cards…I think what I love most about crafting is the people I’ve met over the last two and a half years…so today’s card was created to thank you all for being such awesome crafty friends! 🙂

So you know how I’ve been absolutely head over heels in love with the Inky Flowers set from Lil’ Inker Designs?  I might have a new love…the Awesome Blossoms floral set is gorgeous and so much fun to play with!  I stamped the flowers and leaves with a variety of inks and then used the circles, intended as flower centers, to create wisteria-ish flowers in my arrangements.  Once I was happy with my stamping I die-cut the whole panel with the Silly Stitched border dies to create that fun textured border.  Then I stamped my sentiment in versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder.  To finish my card I added a few sparkling clear sequins and clear droplets!  I didn’t have a lot of time to play this week but I look forward to replicating this designs in other colors soon!  I love LOVE the design of those roses!  So pretty!

Anyway, just in case you might be interested in that set, Lil’ Inker Designs is having a 10% site-wide sale all day long to celebrate World Card Making Day!  No code needed, it’ll go through when you check out! 🙂 Happy Shopping!! 😉

giveaway

To celebrate World Card Making Day I’m giving away a stamp set of your choice from Lil’ Inker Designs!  Comment and let me know your favorite set and if you’re the random winner, it’ll show up at your house! 😉  This giveaway will close Wednesday, October 5th at 11:59PM EST and the winner will be announced on October 6th!

What a delicate and beautifully designed card…you have such an eye for color which comes out loud and clear here. Those dots add so much detail and movement. Beautifully done. Oh yeah, I’m still stuck on Inky Flowers, though this one comes in as a close second.
