Hey There Foxy!

19 May

Good morning!  Just popping in with a fun card to share.  I went to a crafting retreat with some of my most favorite people at the end of April and I literally had so much fun chatting that I only made one card. Ha.  And I actually was finishing it late the night before I left borrowing other people’s supplies because I had already packed mine away.  I always pack with good intentions of doing work but then get distracted. Ha.  Anyway, my good friend Emily brought me this adorable Honeybee set and seeing as how I was seated across from Honeybee’s owner, Melissa Hewitt, I couldn’t help but use it first! 😉

I had the opportunity to get some coloring tips from the fabulous Kathy Rac at retreat so I decided to be brave and try no-line copic coloring again and get into those nooks and crannies!! 😉 Kathy also gave me the Ink on 3 fadeout no line coloring ink so I used that to stamp my fox from Feelin’ Foxy before coloring him with my favorite copic critter colors, E70, E71, E74, E77, and E79!  Then I die-cut him with the coordinating dies.

Next I stamped the Spring Blossoms onto vellum and heat-embossed them with rose gold embossing powder before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies.  I added pink and golden yellow accents with copic markers to the back of the vellum.  I also stamped the sentiment from Foxy Sentiments onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it with the same rose gold embossing powder.  Then I blended picked raspberry and worn lipstick distress oxide ink onto a piece of watercolor cardstock and spritzed it with water.  I adhered that to a white card base and then arranged my sentiment and vellum flowers across the blended panel.  Finally I popped up my fox with foam mounting tape.  I don’t know if foxes like to sit and smell the flowers but mine certainly does! 😉

Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!

I’m positive i’ve seen you no-line color before but whatever Kathy told you really enhanced your already considerable skills. This card is simply perfect and the coloring is outstanding.
