Lil’ Inker Designs: August Release – Day 3 (+GIVEAWAY!)

3 Aug

Good morning and welcome to the final day for the August 2017 release for Lil’ Inker Designs!  Head over to do a little shopping, but make sure you come back and comment for a chance to win the entire August release!  That’s correct…one lucky commenter will win everything!  There’s more details on how to win at the end of my post!

Today I’m sharing a pair of cards using the Modern Mandalas set and a tag using the Eat Cake set!

Modern Mandalas by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Lil' Inker Designs

I love the bold look of the mandalas and thought I’d go for metallics on black with a bright pop of color!

Modern Mandalas by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Lil' Inker Designs

For my first card I stamped the mandalas from Modern Mandalas onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed them with silver embossing powder.  Then I stamped the sentiment onto teal cardstock and used the coordinating dies from Modern Mandalas to die-cut it.  I added a tangle of silver thread behind the sentiment and adhered it to the card with foam mounting tape.  To finish the card I added a few teal sequins.

My second card follows a similar design layout but I used gold and pink instead of silver and teal!  I love the bright pop of color with the metallics!

Finally I made a tag using the Eat Cake stamps and the fun Fringe Scalloped tag die!

I started die-cutting the Fringe Scalloped Tag with kraft cardstock.  Then I blended cracked pistachio, salty ocean, and wilted violet distress oxide inks onto white cardstock.  I dried them with my heat gun, stamped the cake from Eat Cake with versamark, and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.  I die-cut it with the coordinating dies and then adhered it to the tag with foam mounting tape.  I added a little teal twine and added a few accents from Encouraging Words with white pigment ink!

And that’s it for day 3!  You can find my first two days of posts here and here!

You should have arrived from Jennifer and Karen is your next stop.  If you get lost you can find the full hop list below!  Leave a comment on each stop along the hop and one lucky commenter will win the entire August release!  Good luck!

Happy hopping!!
