Lil’ Inker Designs: February Release – Day 1 (+GIVEAWAY!)

19 Feb

Good morning and welcome to the February release for Lil’ Inker Designs!  We’re introducing a bunch of gorgeous stamps and dies and they’re all available right now!  I love that Laura doesn’t make you wait to shop the new release so I totally understand if you want to go shop now, but make sure you come back and comment for a chance to win the entire February release!  That’s correct…one lucky commenter will win everything!  There’s more details on how to win at the end of my post!  Today I’m sharing two cards I created for this release!

My first card uses four items from our release, the Quilted Stitched So Sunny Coverplate die, Sweet Celebration stamps and dies, and the Brush Script Spring Word dies!  I stamped the flowers from Sweet Celebration in various shades of pink and used the coordinating dies to die cut the flowers and the heart wreath.  I blended the same ink colors onto a piece of scrap paper and then die-cut the Brush Script word from it to get an ombre sentiment.  I also die-cut the banner from the Sweet Celebration dies with vellum.  I die-cut the Quilted Stitched So Sunny Coverplate die from kraft cardstock and then layered the wreath and vellum banner over it.  I adhered the flowers to the wreath and added the sentiment word over them.  Finally I finished the card with a few sparkling clear sequins!

My second card is supposed to look like quilt squares….I’m not sure I achieved that effect but I do like how it turned out anyway! 😉

I love the coverplate dies that Lil’ Inker Designs carries and I wanted to put the focus on them.  I used the Quilted Stitched So Sunny die, the Quilted Stitched So Knotty die, and the Quilted Swirl Stitched die and die cut them from white, kraft, and navy cardstock.  Then I used the Color Blocking die to die-cut the panels on an angle.  I mix and matched the patterned pieces to create three different card fronts.  I adhered them to a white card base and then added the Celebrate word die cut from hot pink cardstock.  Simple but striking! 🙂

You should have arrived from Jennifer and Karen is your next stop.  If you get lost you can find the full hop list below!  Leave a comment on each stop along the hop and one lucky commenter will win the entire February release!

Happy hopping!!

The quilted dies make beautiful backgrounds without distracting from the focal point of the cards. Love your use of kraft cs.
