I shared this card using the My Monthly Hero kit on my blog this weekend:

Hero Arts July My Monthly Hero Kit by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts

And today, I’m sharing a daytime scene with a little more coloring using the July 2021 My Monthly Hero kit!

July 2021 My Monthly Hero Kit by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts

I love that snoozing gnome!  I started by stamping him onto a panel of strathmore bristol smooth cardstock with contour ink using my MISTI.  Then I carefully fussy cut and placed a mask over the stamped image.  I blended Splash, Fog, and Green Apple reactive inks over the panel and then removed the masks.  I colored the image with copic markers and then placed it back inside my MISTI and stamped it with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder for nice crisp black lines.

Next I die-cut the Forest Vines window die and colored it with copic markers.  Then I used a infinity circle die from Hero Arts to cut a window from a panel of Sand cardstock.  I stamped a sentiment from the kit onto the sand cardstock panel with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Then I adhered the Forest Vines window die behind the sand cardstock and adhered those panels over my blended panel to finish the card!  I love all the layers and dimension in this cheery scene!

Finally, I have one more card to share today using some of the add-on sets.

Mushroom Forest Fancy Die by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts

I love all the mushrooms in this month’s add-ons (even though I won’t eat a mushroom in real life, ha) and I started by die-cutting the Mushroom Forest fancy die from a panel of Pitch Black cardstock (which, coincidentally, is FINALLY back in stock at Hero Arts and is THE BEST black cardstock around!) Then I blended Soft Purple, Grape Juice, and Intense-ified Black ink onto a panel of Lavender cardstock to create my background.  I spritzed the blended panel with shimmer spray and set it aside to dry.

Next I die-cut the Mushrooms and Ferns fancy dies from Pitch black cardstock and pressed my embossing pad all over them before heat-embossing them with black sparkle embossing powder.  Then I tucked the embossed pieces around my frame die and adhered them in place.  I created a shaker and filled it with the stardust sequins included in the kit.  Finally I added a sentiment from Magical Forest to finish the card!

And that’s it for me!  I LOVE this magical release! Head over and pick up your July My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons today before it sells out!

To celebrate the kit release Hero Arts is giving away a $50 gift card as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win!  Please comment before 11:59PM EST on Sunday, July 11th!  You should have arrived from Ilina and Lydia is your next stop!

Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel for more Hero Arts inspiration!  Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the hop!!

Your use of black really makes the colors pop. I had not thought of using silhouettes with this set and you gave me lots of inspiration.
