And today, I’m sharing a slimline card with the July 2022 My Monthly Hero kit!

July My Monthly Hero Kit by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts

To start, I stamped a small flock (ha) of layered flamingoes and die-cut them with the coordinating dies.  Then I used the same inks that I stamped the flamingoes with to blend my tropical sky.  I used a blending brush and a light hand to keep it softer.  Then I blended a few shades of teal to create my water.

I stamped some of the wave ripples using an older Hero set, Color Layering Mountains at the Lake and then stamped the kit grasses.  I also added a sentiment from the kit stamped in intense-ified black ink.  Finally I adhered the flamingoes on the left and right with liquid glue and the center bunch with foam mounting tape for a little extra dimension!

And I used one of the new add-on sets to create a vibrant and bold thank you card!

I stamped Birds of Paradise and colored them with copic markers before die-cutting them with the coordinating die.  I love that it’s a big, easy to color image that packs a punch!  Then I blended bright orange and red inks onto a panel of Papaya cardstock leaving the center of the panel the cardstock color. I stamped a sentiment and heat-embossed it with black embossing powder and then adhered my flowers with foam mounting tape!

And that’s it for me!  I just love this entire kit…it makes me feel like I’m in a dream!! Head over and pick up your July My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons today before it sells out!

To celebrate the kit release Hero Arts is giving away a $50 gift card as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win!  Please comment before 11:59PM EST on Sunday, July 10th!  You should have arrived from Ilina and Lydia is your next stop!

Hi, Jessica – I just commented on your flamazing flamingo card elsewhere (another post or maybe on IG?) and now I received a second email with two more beautiful cards in it! Wow! Your slimline with the flamingos is AMAZING and I love bird of paradise flowers, so that one checks a box for me, too! You’re super-talented!
