Peace on Earth

26 Jan

Don’t forget to check out my new series Crafty Christmas Collaboration and comment or link up for a chance to win one of two giveaways! 🙂

Good afternoon!  I’m determined to keep building my Christmas card stash all year long and I’ve been wanting to play with this pretty Hero Arts background stamp after I used it for A Blog Named Hero!

Peace on Earth by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero ArtsI started by stamping it onto a piece of white cardstock with versamark and then heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder.  Then I blended chipped sapphire, blueprint sketch, and salty ocean distress ink onto the cardstock.  Next I die-cut the sentiment, pressed a versamark pad over it, and heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder.  I stamped the rest of the sentiment onto white cardstock with versamark, heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder, and trimmed it down to a label.  Then I die-cut the Winter Cheer snowflake from white cardstock and adhered the sentiments to the snowflake die before adhering it to the background.

Peace on Earth by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero ArtsUnfortunately it was a little difficult to get a photo of the metallic silver and white but hopefully you get the idea! 😉 I love the look of the silver and blues with icy white!  Though maybe it’s just because I’m desperately hoping for some significant snow this year and right now it’s 60 degrees outside.  Sigh.  Anyone want to send me some snow?  I’ll be your best friend! 😉

Thanks so much for visiting and have a fantastic day!

THUD! Wow, hope I’m still on your Christmas card list. The ombre inking, the shimmery, silver and the pristine white all combing to make this card a masterpiece. Simply spectacular.

It’s breathtakingly beautiful … did you silver heat emboss the entire card, Jess? It looks white at the top and just a brilliant idea!

Stunning! The silver and ombre blue blending is perfect for showcasing this intricate background that, in turn, is a gorgeous canvas for your stunning peace ornament! Icy white and frosty blue…swoon!

So beautiful Jess! You know I’m a pink kinda girl but I love the scene and these colors you chose, super pretty. I love how different the embossing powder looks on each color. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
