Good morning! The July Simon Says Stamp Card Kit: Cool Summer is now available and it is SO much fun!! Bright, cheerful, and full of summery goodness!! 😉
I guess technically my glittery pink flamingo is in a flock of boring flamingos (not pigeons)…but you get the idea! 😉 I definitely wanted a glittery pink flamingo to take center stage for my card! 😉 I started by stamping the sentiment with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. Next I created several masks of the flamingos by stamping them on post-its and cutting them out. I stamped several of the flamingos using slate ink. For some of the flamingos I used a second generation stamping to get the lighter impression. Then I added a touch of copic coloring to their wings and tails.
I used the pink glitter paper in the kit to die-cut my flamingo and then die-cut him a second time from black cardstock and layered them together to create a slight shadow. Finally I adhered him to the card with foam mounting tape for a little extra dimension! 🙂
I hope this gives you some ideas for the new Cool Summer kit! Remember, you can subscribe to their no-obligation kits and receive them monthly for $29.99, or purchase them each month for $34.99 (while supplies last). I have a feeling this fun kit is going to sell out VERY quickly so if you’re interested I’d recommend heading over and picking up the Simon Says Stamp July Cool Summer kit as soon as possible! 😉 Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
