Catch a Falling Star Celebration Release – Colorado Craft Company (GIVEAWAYS!)

20 Oct

Good morning!  I’m so excited to be helping Colorado Craft Company celebrate a year of offering exclusive Anita Jeram designs to the stamping community!  Today I have two very different cards using some of the new release stamps!

Jessica Frost-Ballas for Colorado Craft Company

First I stamped the adorable mouse and sentiment from A Star is Born with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I also stamped a mask, fussy cut it, and placed it over the mouse.  Then I blended spun sugar, kitsch flamingo, shaded lilac, blueprint sketch, and prize ribbon distress oxide ink over the background.  I also added a little hickory smoke at the bottom to ground my scene.  I splattered the panel with water, shimmer spray, and white gouache and let it dry completely.

Once it was dry I removed the mask and colored the mouse with copic markers.  I used R00 and R02 for the ears and feet; T1, T3, T5 for the mouse; and Y00, Y11, and Y13 for the star.  I added a thin layer of nuvo crystal glaze to the star and then sprinkled it with prisma and chunky glitter to finish the card.

For my second card I sprayed a panel of distress cardstock with distress oxide sprays in cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, mermaid lagoon, and black soot.  I let the panel blend together and then once it was dried I added additional splatters of black soot, white gouache, and shimmer spray.  Once that was dry I added splatters of gold and pearl metallic paint for additional stars.

Next I stamped the mouse from Twinkle Little Star and the stars from Falling Star with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I colored them with copic markers and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies.  I used R00, R02, E40, E70, E71, and E74 for the mouse and the same yellow copics for the stars.  I stamped a sentiment from Falling Star with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder before adhering the mouse and stars.  Finally I added a little more nuvo crystal glaze and glitter to the stars to finish the card!

Make sure to check out the full release as well as all the amazing Anita Jeram designs Colorado Craft Company has to offer! Thanks so much for stopping by and have an amazing day!

To celebrate the release Colorado Craft Company is giving away an autographed bookplate and the book Guess How Much I Love You illustrated by Anita Jeram. Any order placed between October 20-23rd will be entered to win!

And each guest designer is giving away the Dream Big Mini stamp set!  Leave a comment here on my blog or instagram before October 23rd, 11:59 PM MT for a chance to win!  Good luck!
