Chibitronics and Avery Elle Collaboration

Avery Elle sent me a stamp set I’ve had my eye on for awhile, That Bites, and I knew it would be PERFECT for a light-up card!  Here’s what I came up with!

The expression on that fish makes me giggle everytime I see it!

So to start off I stamped my fish onto cardstock with copic-friendly ink and colored it with copic markers.  Then I added a layer of spectrum noir clear sparkle and fussy cut the fish.  I added glossy accents to his teeth and eye and set him aside to dry while I worked on the background.  I used a sponge dauber to add squeezed lemonade distress ink in a small circle on a piece of watercolor paper.  Then I blended hickory smoke distress ink around the yellow.  Finally I added black soot distress ink across the rest of the paper.  I spritzed on a little water and then added some glossy accent water bubbles.  I set that aside to dry and created my circuit.

I added a double layer of foam tape all around my circuit to support the card panel evenly and then adhered the watercolor panel.  Finally I created my sentiment by masking letters and words from the Woodland Wonders and Merriest stamp sets!  When you press the area to the right of the sentiment the light turns on.  When I mail this card I’ll put a little note inside telling them to press that area for a surprise! 🙂
