Hero Arts Creative Team! (+GIVEAWAY!)

28 Dec

Good morning!  I am so honored and thrilled to share a secret I’ve been keeping for a little while!  I am joining the Creative Team at Hero Arts!  Eeeek!  I’ve been pinching myself ever since I received Jana’s invitation and I cannot wait to get started!  To celebrate, I created a card to say hello! 🙂 And don’t forget to stop by the Hero Arts blog to meet the other new Creative Team member! 😉

And I discovered something new in the process…the Hero Arts hybrid inks blend gorgeously on cardstock!  To begin I blended Orchid, Crimson, and Mulled Wine hybrid inks onto my cardstock with a blending tool.  Then I flicked it with a little gold spray and set it aside to dry.  Next I die cut the City Skylines from black cardstock.  I pressed a versamark pad over the bridge die-cut and then heat-embossed it with Brass embossing powder.  Once my background panel was dry I adhered the skyline and adhered the bridge with foam mounting tape.  I liked the brass embossing powder so much that I wanted to find another way to use it on my card.  I took a few diamond embellishments, smooshed them into my versamark pad, and then heat-embossed them with brass embossing powder to create matching metallic embellishments.

Finally I used the Luggage Tag Alphabet to stamp my sentiment with Intense Black ink and then adhered my colorful panel above!  If this is your first time visiting my blog I feel like this is a fairly good representation of my style: colorful with just a little bit of sparkle! 😉 I hope you’ll stop by again and I look forward to sharing Hero Arts creations with you very soon!

giveaway

I have two Hero Arts stamp sets to send to one lucky commenter!  Please leave a comment and let me know what techniques or types of cards you’d like to see from me!  I’ll pick a winner on January 5th, 2017 so please leave your comment before 11:59PM EST on January 4th!

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day!

Congratulations on joining the Hero Arts team Jess, so well deserved! You have a style that I really like, crisp and clean, not too minimal, so I’d just ask for more of the same please, and thanks for asking x

Cheering and applauding that Hero Arts has recognized your amazing talents and have brought you on board! So well-deserved! Exciting for you and, especially, for us who will have even more opportunity to enjoy your creativity! Your card: gorgeous! I’d like to see more ink blending and die-cutting techniques, much as you’ve done here (I’d ask for water-colour but water-colouring and I do not cooperative very well at all….sighh…). You and HA = recipe for magic!

How cool for you! Congrats! I love Hero Arts. Your card is amazing by the way. So graphic and pretty! I would love to see watercoloring and lots of texture/dimension (doesn’t have to be on the same card). I am always searching for good sympathy cards so that could be helpful. Birthdays and Thank Yous are my favorite cards to make.
