Sending a Rainbow of Kindness

18 Jul

Good morning!  Last week I shared a pair of cards over on the Hero Arts blog and one of them used a rainbow of butterflies with the Butterfly Confetti Fancy die.  I mentioned that I had saved the rainbow panel for use on a future card and wanted to share my finished card today! 🙂

Sending You Love and Kindness by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts

You can visit my post on the Hero Arts blog for more details but basically I started by blending Hero Arts hybrid inks across a panel of white cardstock.  Then I ran the panel through my bigshot with the Butterfly Confetti Fancy die.  I ran it through a second time but this time I used black cardstock.  I adhered the rainbow panel to a white card base and then adhered the black butterflies across the panel before coloring them with spectrum noir clear sparkle.  Finally I stamped the sentiment from Acts of Kindness onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.  I trimmed it down and then adhered it over the card.

I hope you enjoyed all of my butterfly confetti cards!  Here’s another look at the two I posted over at Hero Arts last week!  Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous day!

Beautiful card! I have that stamp set with the “Prayers” sayings and large die, so I loved this! The card is beautiful and gives me a wonderful idea to try!

Loving your colorful butterflies and embossed words! Also like the idea of using Press N Seal to line them all up and apply the adhesive without them moving all over the place! YaY! Thanks for sharing!

Hi Jess ~ I’ve loved all of the butterfly cards you’ve shared over the last week but was particularly drawn to the gold you used on the wings in the sympathy card. This would make a lovely anniversary or wedding card as well. Simply beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful week. ~HUGS~

[…] from the die rather than the actual die-cut panel (though I did reserve those for a future card)! ETA: Here’s my blog post using the leftover die-cut panel! […]
