Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #6: Cheerful Get Well

5 Jun

Good morning!  It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and we’re challenging you to create a cheerful get well card!  I combined a bunch of older Lawn Fawn sets to create a punny get well!

Under the Weather by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Lawn FawnaticsThe Hello Baby set is one of my favorite for all the cute images and I thought the little umbrella would be perfect for a weather-themed get well card!  I started by stamping the umbrella and coloring it with copics.  I applied a coat of spectrum noir clear sparkle and then stamped the little sad face using a Lawn Fawn set where I wiped ink off the eyes and stamped it upside down to get the frown.  I fussy cut the top of the umbrella and set it aside while I worked on the rest of the card.

Under the Weather by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Lawn FawnaticsNext I took a sheet from the watercolor paper pad and trimmed it down to an A2 card panel before stamping it with the raindrops from Hello Baby and heat-embossing them with silver embossing powder.  Then I stamped the sentiment using Milo’s ABCs and the Scripty Sayings set.  I stamped my umbrella again (to get the handle) and then adhered my copic colored umbrella with foam mounting tape.  Then I added Stitched Clouds from white cardstock and vellum and a little sun peeking out.  Finally I finished the card with some clear droplets!

And now it’s your turn!  We want to see your cheerful get well projects!  You can link up your entries on the Lawn Fawnatics blog and I can’t wait to see what you’ll create!  Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous Monday!

Now that is really clever…love how you made the face on the little umbrella. And lots of sparkle always cheers me up, sick or not.
