Hero Arts October My Monthly Hero Kit Blog Hop (+GIVEAWAY!)

3 Oct

Good afternoon!  Today is release day for the October My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts and I’m sharing a card using this absolute must-have kit!!  This whimsical holiday kit is now available for purchase at Hero Arts; but remember, once they’re sold out, they’re gone for good so make sure to head over and shop soon!  And don’t forget that you can subscribe to the kits so that you never have to worry about missing one!

The October kit contains:

  • Clear Stamp Set, 6″ x 8″
  • 19 Coordinating Frame Cuts
  • Snow Dots Cling Stamp, 4.625″ x 5.875″
  • 2 Ink Cubes (White Reactive & Unicorn Pigment)
  • 2 Sheets of Diamond Glitter Paper, 5.5″ x 8.5″
  • 2 Sheets of Snow Glow Cardstock, 5.5″ x 8.5″
  • 2 Sheets of Lapis Cardstock, 5.5″ x 8.5″

This kit is valued at $79 and is an absolute steal at $34.99!

I shared this card card using the My Monthly Hero kit on my blog this weekend:

And today, I’m sharing another card using the October 2022 My Monthly Hero kit!

I wanted to create a soft winter night sky (maybe right as Santa is taking off for the night!) so I blended several Hero Hues Core Inks onto a panel of white cardstock starting with a peachy pink at the bottom and finishing with a dark navy blue on top!  I let it dry for a few minutes while I worked on the rest of the card.

I stamped the North Pole sign and colored it with copic markers.  I also used copics to color around the sign so it would blend in with background.  Then I stamped the pine foliage with embossing ink and heat-embossed it with black sparkle embossing powder.  I die-cut it with the coordinating die and then colored around the edge with a matching coping marker.  Once the panel was dry I stamped the sleigh and sentiment with embossing ink and heat-embossed it with the same black sparkle embossing powder.  Finally I adhered the sign and foliage with foam mounting tape to finish the card!

And finally I’m sharing one more card using some of the add-on sets!

I combined a bunch of add-ons for this fun card!  First I die-cut and colored the Santa’s Sleigh and Penguin Tag die with copic markers.  I also die-cut the sleigh from silver glitter paper and adhered that to the top for a little extra sparkle.  Then I applied a thin layer of glitter paste over the Holiday Pattern stencil and let it dry.  Once it was dry I trimmed it down and adhered it to a white card base.  Then I adhered the sleigh and sentiment.  I added a little string to the tag and then tucked him inside the sleigh.  You can actually pull out the little penguin and add him to your Christmas tree or use him as a gift tag and then he can be tucked into the card after the gift is opened!

And that’s it for me! Head over and pick up your October My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons today before it sells out!

To celebrate the kit release Hero Arts is giving away a $50 gift card as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win!  Please comment before 11:59PM EST on Sunday, October 9th!  You should have arrived from Ilina and Kelly is your next stop!

Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel for more Hero Arts inspiration!  Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the hop!!

The penguin is simply adorable! But my favorite is the snowfall into the tree line. Reminds me of looking out the window, and hoping they would announce our school closed for a snow day!!! Sweet memories.

Wonderful designs! I love how you’ve used your Copics to add texture (to the tree in the sleigh) and to help your North Pole sign blend in with your ink blending. It just makes the images more magical! Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring!
