Reverse Confetti January 2018 Release Blog Hop

8 Jan

Good morning!  I am excited to be a stop on the hop for the January 2018 release for Reverse Confetti!  I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Jen del Muro a few months ago at a crafty retreat and I was thrilled when she asked me to join her hop line-up!  She sent me a few of the new release items to play with and here’s what I created!

Congrats and Best Wishes for Reverse Confetti by Jessica Frost-BallasIt was tricky to get a full photo of this card because I created a shaker pouch using my fuse tool and the curve of the plastic catches the light REALLY easily!  But hopefully you can see it clearly enough!  When I opened the package and saw the patterned paper pad I fell HARD for it…I mean, coral, aqua, and navy?!  It’s like my dream paper! 🙂 So to start I die-cut several balloons using different pieces of the patterned paper and then tied blue thread around them to create balloon strings.  Next I die-cut the Congrats Square Panel from dark blue cardstock and stamped the rest of the sentiment from Congratulations with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.  Then I created a shaker pouch using my fuse tool and filled it with clear confetti, coral sequins, shimmery seed beads, and a few silver sequins.

Congrats and Best Wishes for Reverse Confetti by Jessica Frost-Ballas

To assemble my card I started by cutting an A2 panel from the patterned paper pad and adhering it to a white card base.  Next I adhered two balloons directly to the patterned paper panel.  I adhered the other three balloons over the Congrats Square but tucked the strings behind it.  Then I adhered the shaker pouch to the square and adhered the square to the patterned paper panel.  Finally I carefully gathered the balloon strings from the panel and the shaker pouch together and tied them with a piece of coral twine.  Lots of fun textures and dimension on this card…and of course, it had to be just a little sparkly, too! 😉

Here’s a list of the entire hop so make sure you hop along for even more inspiration!
