Master bathroom ideas

13 Feb

Well, I’m slowly gathering my thoughts and ideas for the master bathroom into one coherent (I think) plan.  I’m still not quite sure on the final color but it will tend towards bright white and teal (or turquoise…or aquamarine…).  It’s a pretty large master bathroom (at least compared to what we’re used to) at 8’x12′.  It will have a small separate room for the toilet, a 4’x6′ tiled rain shower with a second adjustable shower head, a double vanity with the custom cabinet built into the middle, and an oversized linen closet.  For the entire bathroom we’re planning to tile the bottom half of the wall with white subway tiles and then use a glass tile as an accent about 3 inches from the top of the white tiles.  In the shower we have two options.  The first is to continue with the white subway tiles and the glass tile accent.  The second is to glass tile the entire shower to make it stand out from the rest of the bathroom.  That might be a little much (and a little too pricey) but it’s an interesting idea.  He’s also building a tiled bench and wall nooks into the shower that could be tiled with the glass instead of the subway tiles.  The following are some of the photos I’m using for inspiration:

Love the single line in the white with the colors above.

A little too much on the green side for me but it definitely pops!

Love the nooks and the continuation of the single blue line in the white subway tiles.

..it wouldn't be too hard to import tiles from London…right?...
