It’s not really easy to envision with these photos (hoping to take a panoramic shot later today…) but this is the lot. It also seems like the house on the other side is very close but it’s actually divided by a 4 lane road. Once we get a 6 foot privacy fence up we won’t see anything behind us but the trees! 🙂 I’m also looking forward to planting daffodils, tulips, and hyacinth around the base of the trees and hopefully also planting a crimson climbing rose and ivy on the front yard tree similar to this photo:

Anyway, we’ve gotten some decisions made…cabinets have been chosen and various tile samples ordered. This weekend we’ve got an appointment to go to Architectural Ceramics in Falls Church (hello, Wegmans trip!!). I’ve fallen in love with the Sonoma Tile Vihara Glass and this is the closest place where I can see it in person. I’m considering these tiles or the Daltile City Lights series.
Possible kitchen backsplash?
