What a difference a day makes!

31 May

…I happened to catch Grey’s Anatomy on TV a few days ago and it was one of my favorite episodes, “What a Difference a Day Makes,” when Alex and Izzie get married.  The marriage didn’t last (mostly because Katherine Heigl went a little ego-crazy) but I just try to forget about what came later when I watch it.

My “difference in a day” wasn’t quite as earth-shattering as Izzie’s; but nevertheless, it was pretty darn amazing to me!  And I guess technically it was more like 2 weeks and not a day…oh well…analogy doesn’t quite fit.

So since the last time I posted (May 14th) we’ve gone from pink flagged stakes in the ground to a first floor!!!  As of 7pm this evening we were able to walk around what will be the bottom floor of our new house.  And it was glorious!!  I plan to be better (hopefully) about updating this a little more frequently as there obviously are some major things happening every day but for now, here’s a little photo run-down of the past two weeks!

I’m looking forward to the completion of the second story, roof, and staircase (so I can really start exploring)!  I’m guessing that it’s possible that we’ll be under roof by the end of next week if the weather cooperates!  Then the hard stuff starts (for me, that is)…I still haven’t picked paint colors…
